Do you meet the following system requirements and have a desire to play Tribes: Ascend closed beta?  If so let me know!

The   system   requirements   for the launch version of Tribes:   Ascend   have not yet been finalized. However, below are the minimum and recommended   system   requirements   to participate in the Tribes:   Ascend   Closed Beta.

Minimum   requirements

  • OS: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Althon X2 2.7 GHz
  • RAM: 2GB (XP), 3GB (Vista, Win7)
  • Graphic card: ATI or Nvidia graphics card with 512MB video ram or better and Shader Model 3.0+ support. (ATI Radeon 3870 or higher, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or higher).
  • Sound card: DirectX compatible sound card
  • Hard drive: 10 GB free

Recommended   system   requirements  

  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Graphics card: ATI or Nvidia graphics card with 1GB video ram or better and Shader Model 3.0+ support (Nvidia GeForce GTX 560+ or ATI Radeon 6950+).
  • Sound card: DirectX compatible sound card
  • Hard drive: 10 GB free
Note: Due to potential programming changes, the Minimum   System   Requirements   for Tribe:   Ascend   may change over time.

War Inc a new fast paced free to play TPS/FPS in beta

You all should check out the up and coming War Inc. it is currently in open beta and so far it shows a lot of promise and a pretty decent graphics engine.  It is can be a fairly fast paced game with dozens of different class/skill based combinations as you develop your character.  This is a game that I had just come back to tonight and found that with its updates it is coming along very well.  I did not notice ANY hackers at all, and there probably won't be this early on in the games development - hopefully they can keep it that way.  Theres a pretty good weapon selection so far, there should be something for just about anyone.  Have not noticed any auto snipers so far, but I'm still only in the recruit ranks.  So hop in now while the water is hot!  Check out the trailer below the system requirements.

Minimum System Requirements ( 30fps on LOW in 1280x720 ):

OS:   Windows XP SP3 or higher
CPU:   Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz or similar AMD
RAM:   2GB of RAM
HDD:   2GB of HDD space
VIDEO:   nVidia 6 series or similar ATI, 256MB dedicated video memory
VIDEO:   Pixel shaders 2.0


Recommended System Requirements ( 60fps on HIGH in 1920x1080 ):


OS:   Windows XP SP3 or higher
CPU:   Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz or similar AMD
RAM:   4GB of RAM
HDD:   2GB of HDD space
VIDEO:   nVidia 570 or similar ATI, 1GB dedicated video memory
